Academic year opening was held at the Faculty of Education

Pamukkale University Faculty of Education held the 2023-2024 Academic Year Opening Ceremony.
Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Durmuş Akalın, Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. İzzet Kara, Assistant Deans Assoc. Prof. Dr. Turgut Türkdoğan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülözge Türköz and faculty members attended the ceremony.
The opening of the academic year started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, followed by a concert by the Faculty of Education Department of Music Education Polyphonic Choir. Afterwards, Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. İzzet Kara made an opening speech. Dean Prof. Dr. Kara made a presentation on the current status of the faculty in academic and administrative fields and the road map to be followed in the future.
In his speech, Dean Kara said, "From today onwards, it is time to carry out studies that will contribute to the development of Turkey's century. In this process, I believe that we will be effective in moving the education system of our country forward with our creative ideas and devoted work by acting together. This is what our society expects from us."
Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Durmuş Akalın, on the other hand, said that faculties of education carry out studies for the society, bring together the issue of "what to teach" with the issue of "how to teach", reminded that they are among the faculties with high responsibility and wished success for the new academic year.
After the opening speeches, Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Tanrıöğen, Faculty of Education, Department of Educational Sciences, gave the opening lecture on "Communication without Barriers".
At the end of the ceremony, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Durmuş Akalın presented a plaque to Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Tanrıöğen who gave the opening lecture. Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. İzzet Kara presented a certificate of appreciation to the faculty members who contributed to the development of project culture in students with their studies.
