General Information
It is one of the four departments within Pamukkale University, Faculty of Sports Sciences. Students who take a four-year undergraduate education, which includes applied and theoretical courses in a total of eight semesters, including the Fall and Spring semesters, receive the title of Sports Manager. The Department of Sports Management was established in 2008 and provides education in Turkish. Our department, which provides formal education, has ERASMUS agreements with various countries.
Objective
Can develop sport with the basis of in the light of Ataturk's principles and revolutions, the universal nature of researchers, collaborative, participatory, original and aesthetic values, to give a contemporary sport management education. Sports management, economics and management concepts can apply to professional and amateur sport, contemporary developments in the sports industry, followed by elements loyal to train Olympic and ethical values. Our vision, with the spirit of Olympism, applying scientific and ethical values in all aspects of sport, active, creative, innovative, critical, free, and scientific thinking, respect for human rights, improving managerial skills in working together and sharing, the criteria of modernity and adapt to changing world conditions, sports to train managers, to reach an international quality by continuing to be beneficial to Turkish Sports in all the services we provide.

Admission Requirements
Student admission to the Department of Sports Management is made by preference, as a result of the exam conducted by the Measuring, Selection and Placement Center.
Graduation Requirements
Students are required to complete all compulsory and elective courses in the curriculum successfully with no failing grades, including compulsory practical and summer training, and have a minimum CGPA requirement as stated in Pamukkale University’s undergraduate program guidance.
Career Opportunities
The graduates of this area, “sporting director” title is given. Graduates of Sports Management Department can work in many fields, including sports, private and public. Graduates of this department can be employed as sports specialists or sports education specialists in the central or provincial organizations of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the public sector. In the private sector, sports clubs and managers, coordinators, facility managers, human resources, public relations, marketing, foreign relations, etc. They can be employed in many positions. The employment of our graduates in the private sector is closely related to their knowledge of a foreign language and their personal development during their undergraduate education.
