PAMUKKALE UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES

The importance placed on health to improve the quality of life both globally and in our country has increased. Therefore, there is a need for competent, ethically committed, open-minded, and well-equipped nurses who can apply their knowledge and skills at every opportunity. To meet this need, the nursing department at our university began its education within the Denizli School of Health, which opened in 1996. With the establishment of the Faculty of Health Sciences in 2015, it continues its education within the faculty and its building. The Department of Social Services opened in 2018, but education has not yet begun.

The language of instruction in the nursing department is Turkish, and the duration of education is eight semesters. Our students develop their professional skills as intern nurses in the last two semesters.

The Department of Nursing has a total of seven departments. Education is provided in a modern three-story building, in classrooms and lecture halls equipped with computers, projectors, and audio equipment. A vocational skills laboratory is established and actively used to develop students' professional skills throughout their education. The vocational skills laboratory aims to ensure that students receive training using systematic, safe, and effective educational strategies tailored to their abilities and grades. The laboratories are equipped with training models, simulators, and related tools and equipment where students can practice under the supervision of faculty.

In addition, clinical applications of the theoretical training our students receive are conducted at Pamukkale University Training and Research Hospital and other public institutions within the province.

In addition to undergraduate education, our faculty offers master's and doctoral programs within the scope of graduate education.

Students who meet the required conditions can continue their education abroad through the Erasmus program.

Our faculty also provides an enjoyable study environment for its students through social and sporting activities, student clubs, and social responsibility projects, contributing to the development of caring individuals.
