In the new world order that is more integrated with each other in each field, gaining an international identity by experiencing different cultures and different notions for an individual plays an important role. Individuals’ gaining an international identity will also be a hidden driving force during their education and future lives as well as their personal development. Pamukkale University (PAU) is aware of the importance of this force. For this reason, PAU aims to provide opportunities for its students and academic & administrative staff to gain an international identity and to be accepted all over the world. In this regard, the International Relations Office (IRO) was established in 2004 to increase the international recognition of PAU.
IRO acts with the aim of PAU to take place in international platforms with its scientific and cultural studies by offering international opportunities to its students. Such international interactions will not only add a universal perspective to the members of PAU but will also contribute to the scientific development and social values of our university.
IRO’s main aims are as follows;
- Reaching various qualified and international partnerships,
- Supporting the international education and academic studies of our university members and students.
- Supporting PAU members who want to gain the experience of international education.
- Providing new and international opportunities to its students and employees beyond what they have,
- Giving PAU members the ability to think differently,
- Contributing to the formation of individuals who are culturally aware, respectful to other cultures and people, and understand the importance of diversity,
- Instilling awareness of global citizenship.
