Goals and Objectives:

o   The Quality Management and Data Evaluation Center (KAVDEM) at our university carries out process management and corporate data evaluation projects (http://www.pau.edu.tr/kavdem/tr ). With these studies, we are trying to structure a quality assurance system at our university.

o   It is observed in the institutional evaluation reports and applications that all these good practices are not sufficient in terms of the continuous evaluation system. "Process Management" and "Strategic Management" information systems have been established for continuous evaluation. However, it is observed that these information systems are not used effectively and efficiently. The main reason for this situation is that there is no system within the entire organization where information and information sharing can be provided in this context.

o   All these studies show that a common understanding of quality should be established at our university; quality assurance and continuous quality improvement systems should be established.

o   It is proven in all applications that structuring the quality management system provides great added value in establishing a continuous quality improvement system. This project aims to structure the quality system throughout the institution. It will be possible to use the information systems prepared during the establishment of the quality management system together, the access status to strategic goals will be determined, and the habit of creating new and innovative goals for continuous improvement will be acquired.

o   The establishment of a quality assurance system is initiated by learning quality management tools and developing common terminology. This also happens with structured training. These trainings should cover the university staff. Because quality assurance takes place not with a specific team, but with the entire participation. At the same time, the other fact is that today, it is necessary to learn continuous improvement techniques in order to keep up with rapidly developing technology. ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standard, which is a high-level standard, recommends process-based and risk-based applications to institutions and organizations, emphasizing that continuous improvement can be achieved by coping with risks in this way.

o   The target group of the project is academic, administrative staff and students. Its scope is education-training, research-development, service main processes and all support processes. With the quality management system to be configured, in particular, the organization's access to strategic goals will be determined, and continuous improvement can be carried out according to real-life data and based on time. In addition to quality assurance, the establishment of a quality culture is one of the main goals.

Targeted output(s):

The most important outcome of the project is that a systematic approach will be taken to the improvements that will be made according to the state of achievement of the goals set within the scope of the Strategic Plan of our University, and a system will be established that will enable academic, administrative staff and students to participate in the improvements and be innovative (open to innovation).
